Hello! My name is Lilly Armstrong, and I am a rising junior at Glendale High School. I love books, museums, theatre, ice skating (although I am definitely an amateur), board games, and spending time with animals, especially my cat, Piper. I am fascinated by the social sciences and the humanities. In my free time, I also volunteer at the LA Zoo. I try to be as curious as possible, which is why I am stepping out of my comfort zone to try coding. Girls Who Code is my first introduction to Computer Science, and I hope to see how code can be utilized for activism and social justice initiatives. I am curious about the uses for computer science; I have always thought of coding as something meant purely for building websites, and I am looking forward to discovering the possibilities beyond that. See my Portfolio for some examples of my work.
